The Hitecera ceramic fruit and vegetable knife and peeler is a great little work horse in my kitchen. My new best friend. It arrived in a nice little gift box. The fruit/veggie knife makes quick work of mincing, dicing, slicing and cubing. The blade is really sharp and will stay that way for many years. The ergonomic design with its padded handle is very comfortable in my hand and it has a non slip grip which gives me terrific control when using. The Y shaped peeler worked equally as well. Made fast work of peeling a ton of potatoes for hash browns. The only negative comment was my peeler didn't come with a safety guard to help protect my fingers or the blade.They hand wash beautifully. I never put knives in a dishwasher! The blades are white ceramic and the handles black. Would certainly make a wonderful gift for any cooks kitchen. I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review.
I absolutely love this set! When I first opened the set, I thought they were made of plastic where they were so light weight but when I used them to peel and slice an apple for my son, I was very impressed at how sharp the ceramic blades were and how easy it was to peel and slice the apple. I am looking forward to using them on other veggies and fruit as I prepare meals for my family! I highly recommend this set to anyone that spends a lot of time in the kitchen preparing meals. Sharp knives. I had no idea ceramic knives were this sharp. I have no idea what the little bitty knife is for and it is very small! I've never had a knife that small - even on a pocket knife! The peeler is slick and quick. I'm hoping they stay sharp for a very long time.
